Founder and owner of Bespoke Interior Design, Jane McAulay-Frame has a First-Class Honours Degree in Interior Design.
Jane has been designing and working in the building industry since 1998 and has vast experience in commercial and residential projects, from office fit outs to cafes and private homes.
Her talent is driven by her passion for design and a love of all elements related to interior design, whether architecture, art, furniture design, product design or textiles.
Over the years, Jane has been involved in project management, which marries well her creative and practical sides. From renovations to new builds Jane has the versatility and experience to manage and deliver every aspect of a design project.
Being on the cutting edge of what is new and innovative is important to Jane, so she can best serve her clients. More than anything Jane loves meeting and working with people, and seeing her clients thrilled with their end result.
Originally from Scotland, Jane has been living in Auckland, New Zealand since 2004.
Farah Malik has a Bachelor’s of Design in Interior Design. She has experience working in residential design, high end residential design and hospitality design for both interiors and architectural firms, in Hong Kong and Canada. With this experience, she has had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects located in Asia, the Middle East and North America.
After over eight years of working in the industry, Farah loves to put her experience into practice; Implementing a focus on details and layers, and applying attention to detail in design, to create customised spaces for clients that maximise function and are uniquely beautiful.
Her experience ranges from designing and project managing for residential renovations from concept to completion to concept design and design development for high end residential and hospitality. Farah has an interest in all areas of design, understands the importance of each stage of the design process, and the importance of being part of a supportive, kind and capable team.
Farah Saad has a First-Class Honours Master’s Degree in Architecture and is currently completing a PhD in creative practice.
Farah has eight years’ experience working for leading and award-winning architecture and interior design practices across New Zealand. Having worked on projects across various scales and typologies – from bespoke residential homes, workplace interiors to complex mixed use apartment buildings – she has the experience and skills to work holistically on all project requirements, from high-level strategy and project management to the smallest detail that completes a project and experience.
Farah is also an experienced design critique and design tutor, mentoring the next generation of designers and space makers at The University of Auckland, School of Architecture.
With a keen eye for detail and a love for the creative discipline, Farah is committed to the same level of care and quality on every project she works on. She is passionate about working with people, and for people to enrich their daily lives through the design of special spaces.
Neha holds a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of New South Wales.
With many years spent working in Sydney, Fiji and Auckland, her experience spans across high-end residential, multi-residential, hotels and resorts.
Neha absolutely loves creating sophisticated and luxurious spaces, but also knows that practicality is a fundamental element to design. As with most designers, she loves to see her clients’ excitement when her work comes to life.
Aside from her passion for interiors, she loves fashion and traveling. When she’s not busy looking after her baby boy, you will find her with a cup of coffee in front of her computer, or enjoying long lunches with her friends.
Senior Interior Architect
Carmen is our Senior Interior Architect. She holds a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and Project Management from the prestigious ‘Private Design School’ in Valencia, Spain, and was recognised as the best in her year. Carmen has been designing and working in high-end residential projects for more that nine years, and has experience working with some of the most prestigious designers and architects in Europe and New Zealand.
As our Senior Interior Architect, Carmen works across most of Bespoke Interior Design’s projects – from conceptual design, to CAD drawings and detailing, client presentations, and the final exciting stages of implementation.
Carmen is a very innovative designer and has particular penchant for delivering fabulous designs that are a true adaptation of the client’s needs and their original brief. She loves being an interior designer and enjoys every part of her job. But most of all, Carmen loves to see the clients reactions as the design unfolds and they are delighted beyond their expectations.
Carmen’s passion is to travel around the world, discover and learn from different countries, and apply this to life and work!
Nichola has a Bachelor of Design in Interior Architecture and has been designing kitchens, bathrooms and interiors for 18 years. She started her career in Sydney and, after graduating in 2000, spent four years working for local award-winning interior design and architectural practices.
Nichola is passionate about looking after people and establishing successful working relationships. She has a high-level of technical ability, extensive knowledge and project management experience. She is dedicated and detail-focused, and is always working towards achieving the most successful result for each and every client.
Fitness and nutrition are also a big interest. Nichola enjoys running, weight-training and clean eating with a focus on raw food.
Having graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Design, Ruby then majored in Spatial Design. Spatial Design is a contemporary multidisciplinary programme that explores space through interior and architectural design.
Now with industry experience, Ruby is enjoying expanding her knowledge on the practical side of the interior design industry, meeting with suppliers and continuing to assist the Bespoke team with their many exciting and varied projects – and executing projects on her own. She has natural design flair and exceptional taste, a humble and lovely attitude towards designing creatively and caring for each client’s individual needs.
She has always had a passion for interiors and architecture, and has been fortunate to travel around the world and see first-hand many famous architecturally designed buildings, which, she says are a constant inspiration. In her spare time, she loves to paint some of the beautiful landscapes she sees on her travels.
Administration and Accounts
Originally from Ireland, Jane has called New Zealand home for the past 33 years. Jane looks after our administration, accounts and procurement-related financials. To ensure our clients experience an excellent service at Bespoke Interior Design, Jane works through every project, teaming with the designers to ensure finances, fee claims and product claims are all on track.
Administration and Procurement
Melissa is in charge of procurement. She liaises with clients and suppliers regarding the various products that have been approved and ordered, thus creating an amazing customer journey here at Bespoke Interior Design. She also supports the design team and is the main port of call for procurement-related enquiries.
Melissa has over five years experience in the commercial interior industry, was an account manager at Vidak Furniture, and is experienced at assisting clients from initial contact through to completion of their project. She has a high-level of customer service and attention to detail, acquired through many years working in this type of role.
Melissa is passionate about interior design and enjoyed selecting finishes on her own full-house renovation in 2020.
